The small Sweet Willow Community Garden is found in a microclimate created by surrounding buildings on reclaimed space on the roof of the district heating plant. It demonstrates that gardening opportunities can be created in unexpected places.
A large community garden with a small farm feel made up of five large beds divided into 49 community plots. One large plot, maintained by volunteers, grows fresh vegetables for the Centretown Emergency Food Centre. Located behind the university.

A non-profit community-based garden that includes 52 member plots, 10 children’s garden plots, and plots for donations and sharing. There is also a Biodome that provides members with an extended growing season, as well as demonstration and learning.
A communal tenant garden of perennial flower beds, raised boxes and decorative pots of edibles. On the Cartier side of the property, edibles are grown for the neighbourhood, including herbs, edible flowers, and serviceberry bushes donated by Hidden Harvest.
Located on an unused parcel of land, this community garden is a new build by the Dalhousie Community Association. A temporary community garden, this project allows residents without yards a chance to grow produce and provides a neighbourhood social hub.
